Bulk Material Information
Tissue engineering applications can require large amounts of Glycosil or PEGDA. To help accomodate tissue engineers unique needs, we have designed our products and prices to accomodate these needs. If our current products do not meet your pricing or size requirements, please contact us and we will find a solution to your needs.
Bulk Glycosil
Glycosil is available in 0.1 gram aliquots in 20 mL vials. It is sterile filtered prior to lyophilization as a 1.0 w/v% solution in 0.1x PBS. The pH is adjusted to 7.6. It is blanketed by argon and under a slight vacuum. The low amount of salt is intended to facilitate the reconstitution of the Glycosil in cell culture media or other salt solutions. It also allows the user to determine the final concentration of the Glycosil without being concerned about having too high of a salt concentration.
The bulk Glycosil can be reconstituted in water to make the following concentrations:

*We determine the gelation time by testing the gelation of 0.01 g/ml Glycosil crosslinked using 0.02 g/ml PEGDA and mixed in a 1:4 volume ratio of Glycosil:PEGDA.
Bulk PEGDA (Extralink)
PEGDA (MW 3400) can be purchased from 1.0 to 100 g quantities. The PEGDA is lyophilized from a water solution so there are no salts present. Note: this is not a sterile product.

*We determine the gelation time of every batch of PEGDA by testing the gelation of 0.01 g/ml Glycosil crosslinked using 0.02 g/ml PEGDA and mixed in a 1:4 volume ratio of Glycosil:PEGDA.
