Extracel Hydrogel-24 and -96
The Extracel Hydrogel-24 and -96 offer the advantages of Glycosan’s Extracel formula in a convenient, ready to use hydrogel. To use, simply open them under aseptic conditions and add your cells. Extracel Hydrogels are ideal for culturing primary cells and cell lines on a compliant hydrogel surface that readily promotes cell attachment1,2. Unlike animal-derived extracellular matrices (ECM), Extracel Hydrogels are chemically fully defined and consistent from lot to lot. They are based on three biocompatible components: thiol-modified hyaluronan (a major constituent of native ECM), thiol-modified gelatin (denatured collagen), and a thiol-reactive crosslinker, polyethylene glycol diacrylate.
Formats
- The Extracel Hydrogel-24 comes in a 24-well plate pre-filled with ready to use hydrogels that have a volume of 300 µl.
- The Extracel Hydrogel-96 comes in a 96-well plate pre-filled with ready to use hydrogels that have a volume of 100 µl.
Hydrogel Rigidity
The Extracel Hydrogels are designed to have a compliance of 100-500 Pa.
